i'd still hesitate to call it "peak" though cuz my vision of the perfect maliszewski documentary is a 20-hour video going through every single tournament he's ever signed up to while completely ignoring whatever he did in solo play. but at the same time i understand that nobody would wanna watch that shit.
the tangents i complained about the most were mostly at the beginning of the video where b1rch explains what osu! is and the basic gist of tournaments, but unfortunately i think it still makes too many assumptions about what an average viewer would know about the game. like we've barely explained the mechanical skillsets involved in osu and we're already letting dio drop words like "tech" and "speed-stamina"? did you see how much explaining karl jobst had to do just to make sure a layman would understand why cloutiful's exposé was such a big deal?
either way, i'll take (nearly) 4 hours of maliszewski glaze. this is the longest osu! player documentary we've ever seen after all, and it couldn't have gone to anyone better.
